I hold a bachelor's degree in communications with a focus on communications and multimedia production, and spent a semester "abroad" at the Los Angeles Film Studies Center, where I immersed myself in the art of narrative filmmaking.
I now have more than 15 years of exprience devleoping engaging and interactive learning experiences for a wide variety of organizations. Throughout my career, I've consistently prioritized the entire learning and user experience, from design through delivery.
My focus has always been on crafting learning experiences that not only captivate but also hold deep meaning, empowering audiences to grasp and apply concepts, ultimately leading to tangible, measurable results for both learners and organizations.
I take great pride in the reputation I've earned as a leader among my colleagues. This recognition stems from my profound knowledge and versatile skill set across all aspects of design and development.
My dedication to fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and consistently delivering excellence is not only a hallmark of my professional life but also a deeply ingrained part of my personal ethos.
I've proudly called Minneapolis and Saint Paul home for nearly 20 years, ever since I made the decision to come here for college. While my roots are in Iowa, I've come to consider Minnesota my true home.
I have a deep appreciation for outdoor activities, such as biking, camping, canoeing, and exploring the abundant parks and trails that Minnesota has to offer. In fact, two years ago, I ventured into ice fishing for the first time and found it to be a truly enjoyable experience.
My range of interests is quite extensive. I'm genuinely geek out over things such as learning theory, artificial intelligence and technology, visual design, theatre, and my unwavering support for the Minnesota Vikings.
I'm also an active member of the community. Among my various community engagements, I actively volunteer at local community gardens, neighbhood groups, and arts organizations.
From a young age, I've had a passion for understanding how people learn, grow, and make changes in their live. Additionally, I continue to be intrigued by the profound influence of media on both our cultural choices and individual decision-making processes. These specific interests naturally led me to a fulfilling career in instructional design and development."
