People rarely learn from common online PowerPoint presentations. They are often too long, too boring, and largely irrelevant.
What people often do when required to sit through online presentations is use it as an opportunity to grab coffee, send a message, or scroll through social media.
You can only give them the inspiration and opportunity to learn
In this video series, I re-imagined a 1-hour PowerPoint presentation so that it is relevant, engaging, and digestible.
After viewing the content, learners were givent the opportunity to discuss the content and how they would apply it to their work.
The content was created and presented by Jonathan Martinis. The video production was all done by yours truly.
Go to Video SeriesWe know that we learn by applying information and receiving quality feedback based on our actions, not just by recieving information.
In this interactive and scenario-based elearning demo, users are challenged with rebuilding a motorcycle engine.
With each choice the learner makes, they reveal the consequences of their actions, a demo to reinforce previous learning, and the current score to help them determine their progress toward completion of the challenge.
View DemoIn this learning experience built in Articulate Storyline, front-line employees learn how to use new medical equipment logistics software to scan equipment at hospital locations.
Rather than just watch a demo that they will quickly forget, employees also received hands-on practice with the new software before heading out to the hospital floor, where mistakes can be costly.
Finally, they take a knowledge check to further demonstrate mastery. After completing modules they were given another interactive exam order to test and reinforce learning.
For this project, supervisors were given hands-on classroom training using a train-the-trainer model that fully equipped them to support their teams in the field.

Consumer and business software is frequently updated, so it's important to be able to rapidly develop and deploy training using a streamlined process.
Just-in-time training puts knowledge in the hands of workers just when they need it, so they spend less time navigating your LMS and more time learning and getting back to work.
